24 hours of steady rain flooded the infield and pit area forcing the postponement of WKLT / FOX Radio Season Championships this past Friday at Cherry Speedway. Despite the sun coming out in the afternoon, the infield lake prohibited track workers from being able to have the track and infield ready by race time. Championship races have been rescheduled for Friday, September 12th. NASCAR Steve, and the WKLT "Team Elmer's" Big Blue Boom Box will be on hand this coming Friday.

    Coming to Cherry Speedway in the coming weeks will be our first ever "Tuff Truck" Competition brought to you by the Williamsburg Welfare Wheelers and Goin' Green Race Promotions on Saturday, September 20th starting at Noon. On Saturday, October 4th Goin' Green Race Promotions and Total Performance Race Parts will host the second annual Race Car Swap Meet from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
